Her winning numbers drawn on July 23, 2016 were ---- 5 – 7 – 23 – 35 – 39 – Powerball: 11. Silvia matched four numbers and the Powerball number.
Silvia went to the nearest Ticket Checker to confirm her numbers. “It said ‘Congratulations!’ Go to CT Lottery.’ I thought I was on a hidden camera show! I checked it again—thought it wasn’t real.’” Silvia was searching for cameras as the reality sunk in.
“I’m super grateful—it feels surreal,” Silvia said glowingly. The happy winner also told Lottery officials that she will donate some of her winnings to charity.
