Lottery Player Alert: System Technical Difficulties on Labor Day Caused Error

CT/September 8, 2021 – On Monday, Sept 6, the CT Lottery system experienced
technical difficulties that resulted in some tickets not validating accurately
as winning or non-winning tickets. The issue occurred from approximately 1:30 –
3 p.m. that day. During that timeframe, players checking to see if their ticket
was a winner by presenting it at retail for verification, or by scanning it on
the mobile app may have received an incorrect result.
The CT Lottery
has determined that approximately 300 such transactions may have occurred. If
any player attempted to cash a ticket at retail, or scanned a ticket on the
app, and still has the ticket, they are urged to contact the CT Lottery at email@example.com. If a player no longer has their ticket they
are also urged to contact the CT Lottery so the claim can be researched
