A Second Chance to WIN BIG with the Return of CT Lottery’s 2nd Chance Program!WALLINGFORD, CT/March 4, 2024 – The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is excited to give its players another opportunity at big prizes with the return of its popular 2nd Chance program, now accompanied by a dedicated mobile application to enhance the player experience.
“We are thrilled to be bringing back 2nd Chance Promotions. The addition of the mobile app will change the way players engage with our games, making it easier than ever before for players to turn specific non-winning scratch tickets into winning opportunities,” said Brett Steen, Senior Director of Marketing. “This will add a great new dimension to the lottery experience with different prize options on certain games.” The 2nd Chance program will have its own dedicated app that will allow players to set up their account and, with the touch of a button, be able to automatically enter their tickets. The new app will be available for both iPhone and Android users starting on March 4.
Players will get their first of many opportunities in 2024 at a second chance with the launch of Electric 8s, a $1 scratch game. By submitting non-winning tickets, players will be entered into a 2nd Chance drawing for a top prize of $1,888 along with other cash prizes.
To enter, download the CT Lottery 2nd Chance app or visit ctlottery.org/secondchance. There, you can also find complete 2nd Chance Drawing Rules, eligibility requirements, and drawing dates (announced upon the official end of the game). Overall odds for Electric 8s are 1 in 3.90. Odds vary during game. 2nd Chance odds depend on entries received.
As always, CLC reminds its players to play responsibly. With March designated as National Problem Gambling Awareness Month, CLC will amplify messaging to increase public awareness of problem gambling and promote prevention, treatment, and recovery services available statewide. Problem gambling prevention and assistance materials are available in-store, on the CT Lottery website and social media accounts, and on billboards across the state. Additionally, CLC is displaying responsible gambling messages through various other mediums, including television, radio, licensed CT Lottery retailer terminals and physical displays.
If you or someone you know has a gambling problem visit ccpg.org or call the Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-888-789-7777, a free and confidential 24-hour service established to provide support, resources, and referrals to treatment and self-help groups for those struggling with gambling-related problems as well as others impacted or concerned with another person’s gambling behavior.
