Enfield Resident Wins $25,000 “Lucky for Life” Lottery PrizeCharles “Cliff” Miller of Enfield was pleasantly surprised yesterday when the “
Lucky for Life” ticket he purchased for the June 18 drawing turned out to be a $25,000 prize winner.
“I checked my numbers against the winning numbers report and saw I matched five numbers. I thought maybe it was a $5,000 winner,” Miller told Lottery officials. “When I scanned it in the ticket checker and saw I won $25,000, I immediately called my wife. She was all excited and happy.”
Miller’s “Quick Pick” numbers missed matching the Lucky Ball number, which was 18, but still matched the other five winning numbers drawn, 15 – 16 – 33 – 35 – 40 and won $25,000.
Across New England, 71,307 winning Lucky for Life tickets were purchased on that date; 23,271 were sold in CT alone with prizes ranging from $2 to $25,000. Since the “first” Lucky for Life drawing on March 15, 2012, there have been 780,715 “lucky” winning tickets sold in CT alone.
Miller’s winning ticket was purchased at Hayden Station Liquor, located at 1075 Palisado Avenue in Windsor.
