Litchfield Resident Claims Lucky for Life “$25,000 a Year for Life” Prize for June 5The CT Lottery announced today that Ann Marie Gay of Litchfield has claimed the
Lucky for Life $25,000 a Year for Life second prize for the June 5, 2014 drawing.
Gay’s Lucky for Life “Quick Pick” ticket missed the Lucky Ball number, 24, but matched five of the winning numbers drawn; 6-7-22-27-29 for the game’s $25,000 a year for life second prize.
Across New England, 41,275 winning Lucky for Life tickets were purchased for that date, including 13,002 tickets in CT alone. Since 2013, there have been a total of 27 lifetime wins in New England, including 10 wins in Connecticut alone.
Gay arrived at CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill recently to claim the first of many $25,000 annual prize checks for the rest of her life. The minimum guaranteed amount Gay could receive is $500,000 ($25,000 a year for 20 years), but winners who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life.
For selling Gay her “lifetime” prize winning ticket, Johnson Gas, located at 294 S. Main Street in Torrington, will receive a $2,500 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
