Trumbull Retailer Sells “$25,000 a Year for Life” Lucky for Life™ Prize Winning TicketTrumbull Food Mart employees are in full celebration mode today after learning that one of their customers, Michael Misencik of Trumbull, won “$25,000 a year for life” on a Lucky for Life “Quick Pick” ticket. It’s the second time in a little over a month that a top prize winning ticket was randomly generated by their lottery terminal.
The winning
Lucky for Life numbers on February 12, 2015 were 4 - 6 - 32 - 42 - 46 with the Lucky Ball number of 2. Misencik’s Quick Pick ticket matched the first 5 numbers drawn, but missed the Lucky Ball. For making such a lucky match, Misencik was rewarded with the game’s second highest “For Life” prize, $25,000 a year for life.
“I am so happy for the Lucky for Life winner and feel great to be a part of it,” said Trumbull Food Mart’s manager, Michele Centeno. “We had a $100,000 Cash5 (Quick Pick) winner in January, too. Ever since the store was redone in 2013 and has new owners, people love coming here to play and they’re having fun. So are we.”
Yesterday Misencik arrived at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill and had some fun of his own—he received the first of many $25,000 annual prize checks (the prize value before taxes) for the rest of his life. The minimum guaranteed amount Misencik could receive is $500,000 ($25,000 a year for 20 years), but winners who live longer than that will receive prize payments for the remainder of their natural life.
For selling the $25,000 a year for life prize winning ticket, Trumbull Food Mart, which is located at 648 White Plains Road, will receive a $2,500 bonus check from the CT Lottery.
