Bristol Lays Claim to $6.3 Million in Prizes Since Jan. 2015The bustling city of Bristol has certainly seen its fair share of CT Lottery prize winning tickets over the last several months. In fact, more than $6.3 million in prizes have been either claimed by a Bristol resident or sold by one of Bristol’s 59 lottery retailers since the beginning of the year—one of which was a $4.0 million jackpot winning “Lotto” ticket.
Bristol’s newest winner, Elnora Grechko, is especially happy to count herself among one of those lucky enough to claim a lottery top prize. “I cashed in some winning tickets at the grocery store and bought three ‘Bonus Ball Bingo (2nd Edition)’ tickets,” said the extra perky grandmother and great-grandmother of seven. “The first ticket I played, I won nothing. The second—nothing. By the third ticket, I was getting discouraged, until I realized I had made an ‘X’ on my Bingo ticket and won $25,000. I didn’t believe it until [the retailer] verified it. I must have checked the ticket 10 or 12 times myself,” said Elnora with a laugh.
Super Stop & Shop #628, located at 597 Farmington Avenue in Bristol, will receive a $250 check from the CT Lottery for selling Elnora her top prize winning Bonus Ball Bingo 2nd Edition ticket.
The winning names, stories and photos on this website are just a small number of the thousands who claim prizes. The fact is, people win every day with the CT Lottery! Below is a list of recently claimed prizes of $10,000 or more. Please Note: When a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.
