Norwich Woman Wins $30,000 Prize on “30X Cash” Gift from BrotherSharon Furr of Norwich saw her good deeds paid off after she arrived at the CT Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill to claim a prize for $30,000 playing the “
30X Cash 3rd Edition” instant game. Furr’s brother, Milton, bought her the ticket as a “thank you” for helping out with various “odds and ends” around his house.
While playing the ticket, Furr initially didn’t realize it was a winner! With the reassurance of her brother, they headed to the nearest CT Lottery Retailer. While Furr waited in the car at a local gas station, Milton went in to confirm her prize. A few minutes later he returned to his sister to deliver some incredible news with a “30-Grand Baby!”
“Now, I can fix my car, catch up on bills—and buy my dog a nice steak,” Furr said to Lottery officials with a chuckle.
Furr’s “30X Cash 3rd Edition” top prize winning ticket was purchased at Michael’s Hess Gas Station, located at 122 Boston Post Road in Waterford. Michael’s Hess Gas Station will receive a $300 bonus check from the CT Lottery for selling the ticket.
