Plainfield Man Crowns Himself the “Cash King” with $25,000 PrizeRetired Plainfield resident, Robert Bennett, decided to try his luck on a game he had never played before. “
Cash King” caught Bennett’s eye at his favorite CT Lottery retailer and it was indeed a fortunate decision as he snagged the $25,000 top prize.
“I normally play Lucky 7’s but I wanted to play something else,” Bennet explained his winning experience. “I had 21 and 12 – I had a feeling—scratched off that last 21 and said ‘Wow cool!’”
Though Bennett knew he had won the top Cash King prize, he decided to wait to collect his winnings. “We had plans to take our grandson fishing—we can’t break promises.” Family comes first for Bennett!
Bennett is planning to enjoy his winnings while paying them forward, “I’ll give them [the retailer] a tip—pay off the boat and get a new lawn tractor.”
Leaving the CT Lottery Headquarters in Rocky Hill, Bennett held his check with a smile, positively looking like a Cash King.
For selling the winning ticket, Pit Stop Spirit Shop located on 712 Norwich Road in Plainfield will receive a $250 check from the CT Lottery.
