Flabbergasted, Winner Claims $100,000 Cash5 PrizeOn and off over the years, Sally Barnett of Suffield played the CT Lottery Cash5 game with numbers that are extra special to her: 5 - 15 - 17 - 22 and 27. Sally missed the drawing on TV that night, but she did catch the winning Cash5 numbers on TV during the morning news the following day.
"I was flabbergasted," Sally told Lottery officials. "I saw the numbers and said, 'My God, those are MY numbers! Then I flipped the play slip over to the back and saw I won $100,000. Who would ever think you could win this much money?"
Sally said she plans to put new windows in her house with the prize money, and maybe give some of it as a gift to her children. "I really don't know yet. I have a lot to think about. It's all very exciting!"
