NCPG Corporate Newsletter Award
Connecticut Lottery Corporation Honored with Two National AwardsThe Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is proud to announce that for the second time, it has received the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) “Corporate Newsletter Award."  The NCPG presented the award on Friday, July 19, at its 33rd National Conference on Problem Gambling in Denver, CO. 

The CT Lottery submitted Chatter That Matters® (CTM), its quarterly newsletter, to the NCPG for award consideration.  The newsletter is distributed to all CT Lottery employees, CT Lottery board members, leaders in the responsible gaming community, as well as policy makers, and is posted on CTLOTTERY.ORG.  Articles are written by employees from all departments and at every level of the organization.  CTM always features various responsible gambling (RG) initiatives.  

Also, Margaret Annino, a principal cost analyst for the CT Lottery, was named as the recipient of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) "Powers Award." Annino, a 23-year veteran of the CT Lottery, was acknowledged for her significant individual contributions and her exceptional job performance.  The Powers Award is named in honor of the late Edward J. Powers, the “Father of U.S. Lotteries.”“It is an honor for the CT Lottery to be recognized by the NCPG for our staff’s collective efforts to promote responsible gambling.  The Corporate Newsletter Award exemplifies our commitment to meeting the highest standards in our industry for corporate social responsibility,” said Greg Smith, CT Lottery President and CEO.  "We are proud of Margaret and the work that she does.  Receiving the Powers Award is a great accomplishment."
