Always congratulate your players, whether you are cashing a ticket or selling them a ticket. Great customer service equals repeat sales. Players will return to your store after having a positive experience.
Scan the ticket on your terminal to validate it is a winning ticket.
A claim receipt will print stating: TICKET NOT CASHED! Present original ticket and this receipt for payment. Retailer Do Not Pay (see example below).

When a ticket is presented for cashing that is over your cashing limit of $599 be sure to return the original ticket to the customer. No claim will be paid without the original ticket.
Winning tickets up to and including $5,000 can be redeemed at any High-Tier Claim Center or CT Lottery Headquarters. Prizes over $5,000 or more must be claimed at CT Lottery Headquarters. Check How to Claim a Prize page for details.

NO PRE-PRINTING of draw tickets.
ALL TICKETS must be printed at TIME OF CONSUMER PURCHASE and payment.
PAYMENT for Lottery tickets is expected BEFORE tickets are given to consumer.
WHEN CASHING a ticket worth $100 OR MORE you must confirm AVAILABLE MONEY to pay the customer BEFORE completing the transaction.
